Despite ongoing trials, Donald Trump woke up a happy man on Tuesday. The day before, on Monday, he won the Iowa caucuses, getting more than 50% of the votes in the race to become the Republican Presidential candidate for the 2024 election. If he wins, Melania Trump will become First Lady again, but little points towards Barron Trump joining them at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Barron, 17, is finishing his last semester at Oxbridge Academy in Florida. Most reports suggest that he will enroll in college this upcoming fall. Though, nothing has been decided as yet.
The son of the former president is rarely seen in public, but when the Trump family shared their annual Christmas photo, Barron was there. As often before, people reacted to how tall the young man had become. But is there a secret as to why? According to Donald Trump, who spoke about his son earlier this week, a secret ingredient has helped him grow tall.
Barron Trump has begun his last year at Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach, Florida. Sadly, not long ago, a Chicago woman sent multiple death threats to Barron Trump’s schoolmaster between May and June. She has since been detained and charged.
Where will Barron Trump go to college?
As the New York Times reported, Melania and Donald are already looking at colleges in New York. Donald Trump later confirmed in an interview with author Megyn Kelly that he and Melania are “looking into” the possibility of Barron attending the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania as he spoke with author Megyn Kelly.
“He’s a good kid, he’s a good-looking kid. He’s a great student, very good student,” the former president said last year.
It might be a familiar school for those who know their Trump history. In fact, Donald and his children, Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, and Tiffany Trump, have all graduated from the University of Pennsylvania.
Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump both graduated from the Wharton School. Tiffany Trump graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, while Donald’s third son, Eric Trump, chose to go to Georgetown University instead.
“I went to the Wharton School of Finance, the toughest place to get into. I was a great student,” Donald Trump has previously said, per AP News.
While it surely will be an excellent step for Barron Trump, his father has a complicated relationship with the Wharton School. As most know, Donald’s surname is seen across all his buildings, including hotels and skyscrapers. At Wharton, however, no building bears his name.
AP reported that school officials don’t like talking about the former president, so much so that a former pro-Trump student group previously had to be shut down.
Barron Trump makes “truly monumental” appearance in family Christmas photo
While the bookstore at the University of Pennsylvania has a significant number of books written by their alums, there is only one copy of Trump’s 1987 book The Art of the Deal.
“Perhaps the most important thing I learned at Wharton was not to be overly impressed by academic credentials… That degree doesn’t prove very much,” he wrote in The Art of the Deal.
Which school he will attend has yet to be decided. However, Barron Trump appears to have already been handed a more significant public role within his family. That is according to Melania’s former senior aide, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff.
For this year’s Trump family Christmas photo, Barron Trump was posing with his father, three siblings, and other family members. It was a rare picture, not least considering Barron was in it.
In an interview with the NY Post, Wolkoff states that Barron’s appearance is “truly monumental,” as she claims her “strategic” mom prepares him for the future.
“Melania’s decision to include Barron in this family activity, even if she couldn’t be there herself, might be a significant turning point, potentially fostering a new level of support between Melania and Donald,” she told the New York Post.
“Barron’s appearance is truly monumental and shows Donald and Melania are in lockstep with one another. I believe we will be seeing more of him now. Nothing happens by chance with Melania.”
Melania Trump re-negotiates prenup agreement to secure Barron’s future
Melania Trump has decided to start thinking about the future, especially in a future where her husband is being found guilty.
According to Page Six, Melania Trump has spent the last year re-negotiating the terms of her prenuptial agreement with Donald. The source says her new “postnup” is in place. The news outlet reports that Melania wanted the new deal because she was worried about how much money would be left for her and Barron after legal bills, damages, and possible fines were paid.
“This agreement was necessary because of the current legal battles. [Donald] has suffered,” a source told Page Six, adding that the re-negotiated prenup will “provide a more solid future” for Melania and Barron if the couple would go separate ways. “It’s not that she threatened to leave him. It’s definitely the underlying idea.”
A person familiar with the re-negotiated prenup told Page Six that Melania wanted the deal to provide her with money and property. It included cash, where there is a “specific amount at minimum that Barron is supposed to obtain.
Moreover, another source told the news outlet, “This is at least the third time Melania has re-negotiated the terms of her martial agreement.”
As mentioned, Barron is entirely focused on school and forming his future. However, his father has, once again, put their family in the spotlight.
In September of last year, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron found that Donald Trump, his family, his businesses, and the entire Trump Organization had committed fraud by overvaluing his wealth on business documents for years.
Donald Trump could be stripped of New York properties
This was to get better bank deals, which New York Attorney General Letitia James first claimed in her lawsuit.
The ruling from Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron, consisting of 35 pages, Engoron sided with Letitia James, who alleged that Trump made several undeniably false statements to get favorable loans.
With the ruling, Engoron revoked the Trump Organization’s New York “business certificates” and any other business based in New York City run by Trump or his family.
The judge’s ruling means Donald Trump could be stripped of the control over some of his Trump properties. That includes his beloved Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan, where Barron grew up.
We don’t know how this will affect Barron Trump’s life. However, he might have trouble following in his brother’s footsteps and taking his fair share of the Trump empire.
Time will tell if he will be the first Trump in quite a while to walk his own path in life. But what already is certain is he is the tallest in the family.
For years, Barron Trump has had social media buzzing whenever a new image of him has been taken and posted online. The boy made headlines at the White House in his early teenage years, and in late 2022, reports suggested that he’s already 6 feet 7 inches tall. Two years later, he might have grown even more elevated.
One look at photos of him standing shoulder-to-shoulder with his 5-foot-11-inch mom, Melania, suggests that he may be even taller than that.
Donald Trump says late mother-in-law’s food has been the secret ingredient to Barron’s height
In 2021, Donald Trump, who stands at “only” 6 feet 3, spoke of his son’s height for the first time.
“Barron is 6-foot-7, can you believe it? And he’s 15,” Trump said. “Eric is short — he’s only 6-foot-6.”
The Trump family is very tall, but the fact that Barron is the tallest of them all might come as a surprise. So, how has he become that tall? According to Donald Trump, there is an explanation. In his Iowa caucuses victory speech, Trump spoke about his now late mother-in-law, Amalija Knavs, who sadly passed away last week.
He explained how she cared for the entire family, especially Barron. Moreover, the former president revealed that Amalija’s food might have helped Barron grow.
‘”Great people, great parents to all of us, really. Great parents, but also to Barron. Boy, did she take care of Barron,” Donald Trump said.
“That’s how he got so tall, he only ate her food,” he added.
Trump continued to joke about Barron’s height, saying that it’s a shame that he likes soccer – and not basketball.”
“I said you’re gonna be a basketball player. He said, ‘Well, I like soccer, Dad, actually.’ I thought… at your height, I like basketball better, but you can’t talk them into everything,” Trump added, saying that Barron was a “special boy.”
During his time at the White House, Barron Trump was seen wearing soccer jerseys, and he also got to meet several soccer players when they visited.
“I hate to say it…”
Donald is probably happy with his son’s interest in soccer, as he, in a 2019 interview with CBS, said that football was a dangerous sport, considering the risks of getting head injuries.
“If he wanted to? Yes. Would I steer him that way? No, I wouldn’t,” Trump answered when asked if Barron could play football.
“I hate to say it because I love to watch football. I think the NFL is a great product, but I really think that as far as my son – well, I’ve heard NFL players saying they wouldn’t let their sons play football. So it’s not totally unique, but I would have a hard time with it,” Trump added, saying that Barron is more interested in soccer anyway.
If things go the way Donald Trump wants, he will become the Republican Presidential candidate for the 2024 election. On Monday, the former president won the Iowa caucuses by a landslide, and time will tell if he will be in the race to get a second term in Washington, DC.
However, if he will stand face-to-face with Joe Biden again, he might have to calm down and not attack the now-sitting president as he has in the past. At least not if Barron Trump gets to decide.
In the book Rigged: How the Media, Big Tech, and the Democrats Seized Our Elections by Fox commentator Mollie Hemingway
Donald Trump personally admitted that his then 14-year-old son thought he was too harsh on Biden. He also said he “caught wind” of some of the negative feedback.
‘People thought I was too belligerent,” Trump said.
“I will say my own son Barron said, ‘Dad, you were too tough. You didn’t have to keep interrupting him.’”
