Tarasevich alleged that the two doctors, Drs. Andrey Komarov and Omar Khaled, did not perform their duties for the initial procedure. In her complaint, she stated that she had developed scleroderma, a rare hereditary disorder that causes skin stiffening. Surgeon could face six years in prison
Later, the Prosecutor’s Office of the Krasnodar Territory charged Dr Andrey Komarov over the procedure, leaving Yulia Tarasevich in a living nightmare.
The office said he provided services that “did not meet the requirements of consumer health and safety” as it caused severe bodily harm, The Sun reported.
He might face up to six years in prison and a fine of around $5,000 if convicted.
